During the lockdown we were able to distribute food to a few of the aadivasifamilies.This was also helped by many villagers to support all the labourers who were jobless due to the pandamic.

With the help of Lions Club of Juhu, ANAAJ DAAN, (Donation of food grains), was conducted for 42 adivasi families. These families have lost jobs due to the pandemic. They will be given food every month for a minimum of next 12 months. The grains,legumes, lentils along with oil and sugar contribute to their dietary requirements.

Donation of 700 footwear to the Adivasi ladies was a great benefit for the ladies who are doing a lot of hard work in paddy fields during monsoon. This would protect their feet from various diseases and from insect bites etc. This project was carried out on 12TH July 2021 at 5 villages Shedgaon, Kharavli, Asnoli. Dabhad and Chirambe.

Anvaya took note of the water scarcity in Shedgaon & the falling water table levels. We decided to solve this by making efforts to increase the water table level rather than adding more Tube wells. There are already 12 borings in the village going very deep to draw water. With the help of experts we carried out working of the watershed trenches that can be created for water conservation. Explanation of Topography was conducted on the laptop to encourage them to take up this project for the welfare of the village.

Rotary Club of Borivali helped in constructing 3 toilets for the Adivasi settlement. This settlement of around 65 occupants never had toilets. This is a basic necessity and in line with our respected PM’s national mission. Ruma Desai, President of Rotary Club of Borivali accepted our request and sponsored the construction of separate toilets for ladies and gents.
