DOR creates a connect between the URBAN and the RURAL women. This DOR (the rope) symbolises the connect. It empowers the RURAL women with confidence and independence. DOR helps the Urban ladies get a sense of purpose and self-esteem.
DOR works with the help of URBAN, conducting workshops as well teaching different skills like candle making, quilling, painting, stitching, embroidery, tie and dye etc.Such Workshops are conducted regularly. All the required raw materials are provided.
Learning new skills keeps the women motivated and also helps identify their hidden skills and talents.
With the newly acquired skills these women produce exquisite articles and Anvaya helps by finding them a market place. These microbusinesses give the ladies a sense of achievement and self-confidence.

Some of the activities that we carry out through the DOR Project are :
- Skill Development – Conducting workshops.
- Learn & Earn programme – Give a market place to sell their self-created handicrafts
- Laghu Udyog – Encourage them to produce & sell their traditional ready-to-eat items.
- Online education for ladies.
- Sanitation – Creating awareness of gynaecological issues and providing sanitary napkins
- Counselling regarding family or personal issues with interactive sessions
- Children – Workshops on child care, hygiene and child abuse
- Nutrition – Educational talks for the family and healthy food habits
- Cookery – Workshops related to niche cookery and making them aware of national & international cuisines
THIS is the DOR that binds the URBAN with RURAL.
