11th March 2020. A meeting was conducted with the Primary school teachers to understand their requirements, relating to schools & students. This meeting was with teachers from three villages. Each school had different requirements to be fulfilled. We also enjoyed their local bazaar and funfair organised by the students.

Anvaya started online classes in June 2020 as there was no schooling due to the pandemic. Teachers from various urban cities and abroad volunteered to teach them. We started with 7 students and 4 teachers. It has grown to about 328 students with 76 teachers as of July 2021.

ON 5thSept. 2020 we visited the village of Shedgaon for distribution of note books, library books and sports equipment for 3 primary schools. Almost 98 students benefited. Folding desks for the school were donated by the Sevak Trust.

On 7TH November 2020 a meeting with the online students was arranged to brief them personally regarding the functioning of the online classes and understand their difficulties. This included distribution of long books to all the 117 online students enrolled with Anvaya. Provision and installation of routers was carried out in many homes.

Project street lamp is associated with Anvaya to help teach the slow learners. The REMEDIAL TEACHERS conduct regular classes with about 11 students from the village. They sponsored the Christmas party for the children of Shedgaon complete with games, dances, singing of Christmas carols, quizzes and food. Teachers from cities connected online for the celebrations on 18th December, 2020.

Online training for dance, songs and drama was conducted and the children performed live on stage in front of their village and showcased their talent. All the costumes were generously loaned to us by Vaishali Thakkar proprietor of "Klassic Costumes". Donned with the costumes and jewellery the children dazzled one and all. Villagers were amazed at their command over the English language that they grasped with our online teachers. This was a great opportunity for many more to enrol with Anvaya.

On 30th May 2021, about 500 long books with pens were distributed to all the students of Anvaya to encourage them to attend their studies regularly.

5th JUNE 2021 ANVAYA celebrated world environment day with all the students. Children were asked to show various ways to save our environment and to our surprise we had essays, poems, rangoli, drawings, songs and various forms of exhibits to show their talent. These are a few of their creations.

On22ND JULY ANVAYA showcased various yoga asana performed by our student. We had a YOGA EXPERT as a guest explaining the advantages of YOGA for healthy life to all the students, parents and our teachers. We had live singing by few of our students to celebrate WORLD MUSIC DAY. With the help of our teacher, students explained the WORLD SOLSTICE DAY with a power point presentation.

A Canada based company, Apply Board approached Anvaya to help donate basic things required by a student, including school bags, pens & paints to encourage education in rural areas. This was clubbed with a video shooting about education in rural India on the 23rd& 24th JUNE 2021. 160 Anvaya students participated in the video shoot and collected their gifts. It was a very exciting and a memorable experience for them.

A Project by Davda family was conducted at the Adivasi School. The workbooks that are required by the students along with the other basic requirements of bag, workbooks, stationary, books etc. were donated to 28 primary school students. The SECOND project was by the Lions club of Juhu. They donated Digital Tablets to 15 online students of Anvaya who had been consistently putting in hard work since June 2020. On 24th July 2021 both the projects were carried out with lots of enthusiasm.

Our enthusiastic team of teachers planned various competitions related to Independence Day for children of all the age groups right from Sr Kg to 12Th grade. The children participated in FANCY DRESS, SINGING & DANCING & ACTING COMPETITIONS. Children were asked to submit their videos to the external judges who evaluated them and announced the winners. For higher grades, we planned an online LIVE QUIZ at the time of the event.

5th Sept2021 was celebrated at the village Shedgaon with various activities. We had a drama that was performed by about 32 students. It was accompanied with dance, songs and poems for entertainment of the parents and the teachers online. The entire practice was conducted online and the performance was overwhelming.

5th Sept 2021 was the day our library cupboard was filled with lots of educational and story books for all age groups given by many well-wishers. Lots of books in Marathi were donated by Inner Wheel of Pune to encourage reading among our Anvaya students. Many students joined the library by creating an identity card and it was an overwhelming occasion for all. Anvaya also had a prize distribution for the 15th August competition winners.

Project Street Lamp is assiciated with ANVAYA for Child Education. It is a group of Special Educators working towards recognizing the strengths of diverse learners and support them to reach their maximum learning potential.

Our CHILDREN'S DAY Celebration was fun time with tasty food at Chirambe and Shedgoan along with talk on saving the environment. 'Clean Shedgaon, Green Shedgaon'. The germ of this idea took root during Environment Day celebrations. Our enthusiastic teams are working diligently towards achieving exactly that. We are taking the next step by teaching them to segregate dry and wet garbage. They were taught to cut up the plastic packagings/ wrappers into tiny pieces and stuff them into empty plastic bottles. And finally and how to create compost!!! We continue to enrich our program, Pravah
